Shear cutting systems

Longitudinal scissor cut systems are available providing positive cross cutting of web materials including paper, cardboard, plastic film to a thickness of 2mm and aluminium foil to a thickness of 0.6mm.

The systems are based upon one or more air-loaded top knife-holders with circular blades running against either a driven circular bottom knife on a sliding carriage or against a fixed ground anvil steel bar. This provides for clean, burr dust-free cutting, no scrap and clean edges.

Cross cutting speeds range from 1m/sec upwards and cutting lengths up to 10 metres
