A drying solution for the Paper and Board industry from Ircon-Solaronics
A patented, shortwave electrical infrared drying solution developed specifically for the paper and board industry. It is a state-of-the-art system improving paper quality and machine capacity, at the same time minimising energy use and maintenance costs.
High energy efficiency is achieved by the combination of a modular design, thick gold-coated reflectors, OH-free quality protection quartz and an air blowing nozzle (air-foil type).
With independently-controlled zones of 75 or even 37.5mm, the moisture profile correction is very precise for optimal paper quality – IR output power is therefore only used where needed.
The TempArray non-contact, stationary temperature sensors improve quality control and are designed for fast and automatic MD and CD moisture profile improvement without the need for traditional scanning measurement systems.
The size of the power distribution cabinet is typically reduced by at least 60% and the number of power cables by 70 to 80%. The frames can be installed face-to-face without lifetime reduction. Simplified maintenance – modules may be replaced without the need for tools as they are equipped with on-board electronic controls.
Flexible and easy to operate, the system has a variety of connection options to other computer or QCS systems when required.
